Client Portal Guide

Welcome to the Practicore Client Portal. This guide explains how to access your compliance work, view invoices, download documents, and communicate with your CA.

What is the Client Portal?#

The Client Portal is a secure, self-service platform where you can view the status of your compliance work, access invoices, download documents, and stay informed about your accounting work - all without needing to contact your CA for updates.

Privacy

Your portal access is completely isolated. You can only see your own data. Other clients cannot see your information, and you cannot see theirs.

Getting Started#

Your CA will send you an invitation email to set up your portal account.

First-Time Login#

Check your email for an invitation from Practicore

Click the "Access Your Portal" button in the email

Create a secure password (at least 8 characters)

Optionally set up two-factor authentication

Review and accept the terms of service

You're now logged in to your portal!

Returning Users#

Go to your CA's portal URL (provided in your invitation email)

Enter your email address

Enter your password

If 2FA is enabled, enter the code from your authenticator app

Click "Sign In"

Bookmark the Portal

Save the portal URL in your bookmarks for easy access. The URL is unique to your CA's workspace.

Viewing Your Compliance Work#

Track the status of all your tax and compliance work in one place.

Email Notifications

Enable email notifications to receive updates when your compliance status changes. Go to Settings in your portal to configure notification preferences.

Viewing Invoices#

Access all invoices from your CA, track payments, and download PDFs.

Recording Payments

When you make a payment, your CA will update the invoice status. If you notice a discrepancy, contact your CA through the portal messaging system.

Downloading Documents#

Go to the Documents section in your portal

Browse or search for the document you need

Click the download icon next to the document

The PDF or file downloads to your device

Messaging Your CA#

Use the built-in messaging system to communicate securely with your CA.

Sending Messages#

Click "Messages" in the portal sidebar

Click "New Message" to start a conversation

Type your message in the text box

Optionally attach files (documents, images)

Click "Send"

Your CA will receive a notification

Response Time

Your CA typically responds within 1-2 business days. For urgent matters, contact them directly using the phone number in their profile.

Troubleshooting#

Solutions for common portal issues.

I forgot my password

Click 'Forgot Password' on the login page. Enter your email address and check your inbox for a reset link. The link expires in 1 hour.

I didn't receive the invitation email

Check your spam/junk folder. Add noreply@practicore.in to your contacts. Ask your CA to resend the invitation if needed.

2FA code not working

Ensure your phone's time is synced automatically. If you've lost access to your authenticator, contact your CA to reset 2FA.

Document won't download

Disable pop-up blockers for this site. Try a different browser. If the issue persists, contact your CA.

I can't see some compliance items

Your CA controls which compliance items are visible in the portal. Contact them if you believe items are missing.

Frequently Asked Questions#

Yes. All data is encrypted using AES-256 encryption. Connections use TLS 1.3. Your data is isolated from other clients and only you and your CA can access it.
Document upload capability depends on your CA's settings. Some portals allow you to upload requested documents. Check with your CA for available features.
Your data is retained as long as your CA maintains your account. If you terminate services, ask your CA about their data retention policy.
Yes, your CA can set up multiple portal users for your organization. Each person gets their own login credentials.
Use the messaging feature in the portal to ask your CA. You can also add comments on specific compliance items if that feature is enabled.
Yes, the portal is mobile-responsive. You can access it from any device with a web browser. You can also add it to your home screen for quick access.
